Although her ex-boyfriend Adnan Syed has been serving a life sentence plus 30 years since he was convicted in 2000 there may be just as many question marks on the case now as there were then. Adnan Syed was found guilty of killing ex-girlfriend Hae Min Lee in 1999 after she was found strangled to death and buried in a Baltimore park but has always maintained his innocence.

The 42-year-old Syed stood trial twice for the murder of Lee and was convicted of first-degree murder robbery kidnapping and false imprisonment in 2000.
